Cruz ?Cruzita? Calderon August 6, 1920 ? July 28, 2005 Loving mother and devoted grandmother, Mrs. Cruz Lopez Calderon of Austin, passed away on July 28, 2005. We loved her for her compassionate and loving heart. She enjoyed spending time with her pets and gardening. Mrs. Calderon is survived by her sons, Alex Calderon, Sr. and wife Mary; Jessie L. (Ponga) Calderon Jr. and wife Oralia, Albert Calderon of Kenosha, WI., Jesse James Calderon and Marixza; daughter Virgie Limon and husband Joe (Tacho);one sister Romana Espinoza of Temple;20 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren. Mrs. Calderon was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jesse Z. Calderon Sr., son Tony Calderon Sr. and 2 grandchildren Tony Jr. and David Calderon. Recitation of rosary Friday, 7:30 p.m. at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel (South). Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday 10:00 a.m. at St. Julia Catholic Church. Rev. John Boiko will officiate. Interment will follow at Assumption. Serving as pallbearers will be Alex Calderon Jr., Raymond Calderon, Mark Calderon, Joe Michael Limon, Joseph Limon, Martin O. Limon, Virgil Limon and Arthur O. Calderon. Honorary pallbearers are Jose Paiz, Javier DeAnda, Mike Gonzales, Lyndsey Medina, Joe (Tacho) Limon, and Paul O. Limon Sr.. A special thanks to our wonderful and dedicated caregivers at Park Bend Center and Ascera Hospice. Though, she will be greatly missed, we take comfort that our mother is now reunited with our dad, the love of her life.
