Our beloved Rebeca Galindo Araiza, age 86, resident of Austin, formerly of Laredo, TX, was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 5, 2005. Our beloved Rebeca Galindo Araiza, age 86, resident of Austin, formerly of Laredo, TX, was called by our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 5, 2005. She is survived by her children, Ella S. Araiza, Graciela A. Conde and husband Juan of Austin, Gilberto Jorge Araiza of Falls Church, VA.; grandchildren Celina R. Muniz and husband Richard, Marco A. Zapata and wife Myra, Marissa A. Zapata, and Omar G. Araiza of Washington, D.C. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to relatives, family members, and friends who cherished and enjoyed her friendship. A special thanks to Rosalinda Rodriguez-Gil, her caregiver. Recitation of the rosary will be on Thursday, 7:30 p.m. at the Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday 10:00 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Rev. Anthony Njoku will officiate. Interment will follow on Saturday, 10am at The Catholic Cemetery in Laredo, TX, 3600 McPherson. Serving as pallbearers are Juan R. Conde, Marco A. Zapata, Richard Muniz, Herbert Perrydore, Jesus Serna Jr., and Jesus Serna III.
