Our beloved Hilaria (Lala) Soriano Acuna, age 81, resident of Austin, Joined Our Lord peacefully on Sunday, July 3, 2005. Mrs. Acuna was an original founding member of Govalle United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir and served as a committee member on key committees.
She is survived by her son, Ben J. Acuna Jr. and wife Rosalinda; grandchildren, Ben J. Acuna II, Christina Lynn Acuna, great granddaughters, Kalee Renee Acuna, Alissia Acuna Dominguez; brother Daniel Soriano and wife Emma; nieces, Yolanda Soriano and Randy Sheriff, Stephanie Little and Kenny, Gracie Monroy and George, all of Austin
Prayer service will be held on Tuesday, 7:00pm at Mission Funeral Home(South location). She will lie in state at Govalle United Methodist Church, 831 Springdale, Wednesday, 9:00am with Funeral service To follow at 10:00am. Reverend Joe Salas will officiate. Interment will follow in Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Daniel Sheriff, Ben Amaro, Joel, Sammy, David, Danny, and David Acuna Jr.
