Our beloved Carlos Luis Vallejo Sr., born April 16, 1920, was called by Our Heavenly Father to his eternal rest on Thursday, February 3, 2005 surrounded by his loving family and friends.Born in Villa Acu?a, Coahuila, Mexico, raised in Creedmoor, Texas, served proudly as an Infantyman in the U.S.Army during WW II. Carlos was a loving, caring and compassionate friend, husband and father who enjoyed golfing, fishing, and playing bingo.
Survived by his beloved wife of 61 years; Rose Mary Kelly Vallejo, Daughter, Kelli Vallejo Kiessling and husband Edwin II and their children, Edwin III, Kelly Luis, and Carissa, his Son Carlos L. Vallejo Jr. and his children, Gabriel Christian Vallejo and Eve Rose Vallejo and all his 45 nieces and nephews and sister-in-laws, Otilia Vallejo, Louisa Vallejo, Carmen Vallejo and Irene Vallejo, and many friends.
Preceded in death by parents, Franciso Vallejo Sr. and Augustina Calderon Vallejo and brothers, Hernan , Juan , Alfredo , Francisco , and Jose ., and Josephine Kelly Walker. Recitation of Holy Rosary 7:00p.m. Sunday, Remembrance Chapel-Mission Funeral Home. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 10:00a.m. Monday at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Larry Mattingly, OMF Conv. celebrant. Committal services will conclude at Assumption Cemetery.
The Vallejo family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. June Spann, Hospice Austin, and to his special friend Paul Anguiano for their prayers, love and comfort given to our beloved Carlos during his illness.
Pallbearers will be, Alfredo Vallejo, Jr., Jesse Vallejo, Genaro Vallejo, David Vallejo, David Salinas and Elidio Cruz..
Honorary pallbearers Gabriel Christian Vallejo, Gilbert Vallejo, Freddy Vallejo and Herman Vallejo.
