Our beloved Jorge Zapata, age 57, resident of Austin passed away on Sunday, 1/23/2005.Jorge Zapata, age 57, resident of Austin formerly of Laredo passed away on Sunday, 1/23/2005.
He is survived by children Celina R. Muniz and husband Richard, Marco Antonio Zapata and wife Myra, Marisa Zapata, brothers and sisters Lydia Z. Jarman of Del Rio, Esther Z. Villarreal and husband Ruben, Carmela Z. Calix of Houston, Arnulfo V. Zapata and wife Griselda, Sabas Zapata III and wife Catherine, and 5 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents Sabas Zapata Jr., Simona S. Zapata, brother Ramiro A. Zapata, sisters Maria de Refugio Z. Vollmer, and Maria Artemia Zapata.
Prayer service will be held on Tuesday, 7:30pm, at Mission Funeral Home Chapel Serenity Chapel (South). Funeral service will be Wednesday, 10am at Mission Funeral Home Chapel Serenity Chapel. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Richard Muniz, Marco Antonio Zapata, Arnulfo V. Zapata Jr., Ramiro A. Zapata Jr., Ruben M. Villarreal Jr., and Bill Jarman Jr.
Honorary pallbearers are Arnulfo V. Zapata, Sabas Zapata III, Luis Zapata, Jerry Gutierrez, and Geff McElwee
