Our beloved Magdalena Garcia Mercado, age 89, of Austin was called by our Heavenly Father on Sunday, November 21, 2004. She is survived by her beloved children, son Arturo Mercado and wife Margaret M. Mercado; daughter Carmen Mercado Cantu; former Son in Law Uvaldo Cantu. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Martin H. Mercado and son Noah Mercado.
Recitation of the Rosary will be Tuesday, 7:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel 6204 So. First Street. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, 10:00am, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Reverend Father J.C. Cain OMI will officiate. Burial will follow in Santa Maria Cemetery, Pflugerville.
Serving as pallbearers are Gary Cantu, Dr. Steven Mercado MD, John Mercado, Marty Mercado, Joseph Mercado, and David Mercado.
