Our blessed Father called upon our beloved Carmen Alvarado, Sr., 84, a resident of Del Valle on Tuesday August 31, 2004.Mr. Alvarado served in the U.S. Army, Army Air Corp and U.S. Marines during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Alvarado is survived by his beloved Wife of 25 years; Louise S. Alvarado, Children; Violanda Castillo, Joyce Alvarado, Ronald Alvarado all of Round Rock, Carmen Alvarado, Jr. of California, Paul Chapa, Jr., Annie Hoch, Betty Renteria and Caroline Chapa all of Austin, Grandchildren; Crystal Hernandez, Raul Angel Hernandez, Daniel LaFuente, David LaFuente, Jr., Amanda Chapa, Ashley Chapa, Abigail Rodriguez, Priscilla Renteria, Johnny Ray Renteria, Lila Sanchez and Jennifer Caroline. 9 Great-Grandchildren survive him. A Rosary was recited on Thursday September2, 2004 at 7:30p.m. in the Chapel of Mission Funeral Home. Mr. Alvarado will lie in state at 12:00p.m. noon Friday at San Francisco Catholic Church, 9110 S. Hwy. 183, with Requiem Mass to be celebrated at 1:30p.m. Rev. Fr. Gonzalo Ferrer to officiate. Committal services will follow in Assumption Cemetery Serving as pallbearers will be his Grandsons.
