On July 22, 2004 our Heavenly Father called upon his angels to accompany our beloved Mother and Grandmother Candelaria Torres Alaniz, back home where she was reunited with her parents, Martin and Alejandra Toress and brothers, Frank and Seferino Torres, Sisters Vera Espinoza and Mary Cruz as well as her beloved husband Jerome Alaniz.Candelaria was a kind and loving women who enjoyed making people smile. But more than that she was a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and through her family she lived a blessed fulfilled life.
Left to cherish her are her children; Dora Garza and husband Alex, Robert, Ray and wife Connie, Tommy and wife Pat, Ralph and wife Jose and Richard and Wife Liz. 14 Grandchildren and 15 Great-Grandchildren whose visits she cherished most and a brother and sister Jesse and Natalie Torres.
Recitation of Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm Friday in the Chapel of Mission Funeral Home. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated 10:00am Saturday at Cristo Rey Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. J.C. Cain, OMI to officiate. Committal services will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Andy Sendejo, Pete Cortes, Jeff Arocha, Louis Rocha, Jr., Michael and Frank Torres.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul, Martin, Roy and Lupe Cruz.
