I will miss my brother Charlie immensely. He was a man of principles. He was. A man of principles. He was admired for his trustworthiness, fairness, integrity, insistence on justice (did not judge) and finally equality ( insisted on treating EVERYONE the same. He was a man to be dealt with. How GOdly can you you get? Charley was a brilliant man. His passion for music, science, discovery etc., made him a real standout. I want to thank my beautiful sister-in-law, Belen, my nephew Charlie Jr., my very beautiful nieces Diana. And Helen for the superior care you gave to my brother Charlize. You are a reflection of your dad! I love it! God bless you all. My prayers are with you all and my brother charlie. I LOVE YOU! ❤️ Gloria

The memories I have of Uncle Charlie have all been nothing short of loving, happy, humble, grateful and enjoying life. Uncle Charlie has taught me, and I’m sure others in his life, that life should be cherished with the ones you love. I fondly remember him as being so calm, and as others have mentioned, a wise man of few words. But boy, those few words were valued because when he talked, everyone wanted to listen. He was a very intriguing man and respected by all of us. There’s one particular time when my parents he, other relatives and us 4 went to Zilker Park. He cut a watermelon in half and told me to carry one half and my sister christine to hold the other half. I don’t know why, but he made me feel a little more special because he picked me. I was always curious about uncle Charlie and why, when I tried to talk to him he would give me a grin, laugh, and pat me on the head as to say, your questions are so adorable or maybe, “you make no sense Josie”. Hahahahaha!! I took his hand off my head and would shake it and say, “thanks for answering my question Uncle Charlie.” And we laughed. I will always cherish those memories and many more I have of him in my heart. Within the past month or longer, I’ve gotten to know a lot more about Uncle Charlie from the stories and events that took place in his life. My mom has so many beautiful and loving memories of him. We came to tears and laughter through our conversations. Thank you Uncle Charlie for being the Uncle you were to all of us. Aunt Belen and all his children and grandchildren, with our upmost respect, love, and sincere hearts, please accept my family’s (Rangel Family) heartfelt condolences. May Uncle Charlie rest in heavenly peace where he will now be able to enjoy laughing, embracing, and talking with his mom, dad, and his adoring brother, Daniel. We love you Cordova Family, sincerely and respectfully, The Rangel Family (Efren, Josephine, Ian, and Andy)

I remember when Charlie and Daniel were in high school, they were so close, they both worked at Southwestern Bell telephone company. They bought a brand new green Camaro. They played the guitar and did it beautifully. They were so very close.

Aunt Belen and family, please accept my family's condolences on the passing of my dear Uncle Charlie. He was a kind, gentle, and quiet soul who will be greatly missed. My mom will miss the most. She is so lucky to have traveled with you and him recently to Oklahoma. Now she has beautiful, fun, and fond memories of her brother whose love she cherished so much. Do you know that she still has some flowers he gave her over 35 years ago? They were an artficial silk flower arrangement that she absolutely loved and cared for for many years. They were pink flowers in a white base. She still has them. I cant remember what the occassion was, but she loved them very much and they are so very special to her because they were from her brother Charlie. May my sweet Uncle rest in heavenly peace with our Lord....until we meet again....we love you Uncle Charlie.

Uncle Charlie was the smartest man I knew coming from humble beginnings he always questioned why and then sought out the answer to his question. I remember on Easter's sitting around with him and his brothers and charlie would start to ask " christopher did you here the latest thing they found out on quantum physics?" I would answer "no" and enjoy his explanations of things I had no clue about but knew they were true because of whom they were coming from. Later on uncle Charlie picked up playing guitar and would ask whenever he had his guitars if I wanted to play, I did once playing a simple rhythm he taught me within minutes on one of his guitars,That started me on a mission to learn myself overtime. The last conversation I had with uncle charlie was talking about guitars and the music we enjoyed learning to play, His eyes lit up as we shared that love of music and the instruments used to create it. Charlie loved sharing his knowledge and loved sharing his life with family. We miss you already and know that with all your love and good deeds you've been accepted into God's palace.

So, I recently had the privilege in the past couple of years to get to know my sweet, gentle Uncle Charlie since I was a child. Calm, kind and reserved, is what first comes to my mind. Upon our last couple of visits to their home, myself, as well as my Katherine, felt very welcomed and comfortable. Uncle Charlie gave us a tour of their garden, that I consider a garden of love between him and Aunt Belen, since what came out of there was then used for their meals. We were very impressed with the meticulous layout he explained to us. He was proud in his own humble way. Uncle Charlie will be greatly missed, especially since he loved his immediate and extended family very much. He is in Heaven with our amazing Lord, he is flying high, with the most incredible love and peace he could ever experience. From our family to the Cordova Family, our deepest condolences and prayers are with you, always. God bless you, with love and admiration for your family, Christine, Alfonso, Katherine and Alfonso Jr.

Carlitos was a man of very few words but always ready to listen. His statements were always to the point and you can bet it was a fact. Charley had a very quiet and friendly demeanor. One could never, never guess what was on his mind or how he felt about anything. He was always a great family man, whom Charley greatly loved. He was always calm and not too many things bothered Charley. A quiet thoughtful man, he would sometimes come up with the corniest jokes I have ever heard. They were so corny one could not help but to laugh, yes, we lost a great man who gently raised a wonderful family. I think of Charley’s departure as a sign that if one of us had to go, mom would choose Charley. While I know I will and already miss him, I know that he is in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ, God, mom, Charley Sr and of course his sidekick brother Daniel. I look forward when we can all reunite in heaven again. Godspeed Carnalito, we’re going to miss you Buddy. Jesus I pray that you accept my little brother into your kingdom with open and caring arms. God Bless.
