Obituary of Alejandro Martinez Rodriguez

Our Beloved Alejandro "Hondo" Martinez Rodriguez, age 79, resident of Austin, was born into Eternal Life on Monday, December 23, 2019. He is reunited with his beloved wife, Emma; his son, Alejandro Rodriguez, Jr.; his parents, Leocadlo Mendieta Rodriguez and Refugia Martinez; and his brothers, Modesto, Juan, Espetacion, and Santos Martinez Rodriguez. 

Hondo is survived by his children, Esther Banda, and her husband, Julian, Doris Rodriguez, Alicia Rodriguez Diaz, and her husband, Mariano, Olga Rodriguez Benitez, and her husband, Catalino, Robert Rodriguez, and his wife, Maribel, Jesus Rodriguez, and his wife, Loretta, and Ruben Rodriguez; 17 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Antonia Rodriguez Uzueta, and her husband, Dino, Janie Rodriguez, and her husband, Gilbert, Luisa Rodriguez, Vicenta "Chenta" Rodriguez Mojica, and her husband, Sam, Maria "Mila" Rodriguez Soliz; his brothers,  Luis Rodriguez and Tito Rodriguez; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends. 

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, December 29, 2019, at Mission Funeral Home - East Side, 1615 East Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following morning, Monday, December 30, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Julia Catholic Church, 900 Tillery Street, Austin, Texas. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
