Our beloved Ernest P. Torrez, 90 of Austin was called by Our Heavenly Father on Monday, February 1, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Epimenio and Narcissa Torrez, brothers Pete Torrez, Enrique Torrez and sister Cruz Lozano. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years Mary Torrez; daughter Mary Ann Gomez (Rosendo) and her children James (Jessica), Andrew (Vanessa) and Mark; daughter Helen Alonzo (Edward) and her children, Adrienne (James) and Christopher (Angelica); son Raul Torrez, Sr. (Mary Alice) and his children, Raul Jr. (Monica), Ernest (Roxanne), Pete (Diana), Nicole, Annette (Adam), Brenda (Kevin), Yvette (Henry), Roxanne (Antonio), Yvonne, Xavier (Jennifer), Sonya (Joseph), Angela, Daniel (Valerie), Rene and Landri (Paul); daughter Lea Lopez (Albert) and her children Jennifer (Joey), Stephanie (Ruben), Miranda (Gerald), Crystal (Ivan); son Epimenio Torrez Sr. (Patricia) and his children Epimenio Jr. (Christina) and Thomas; 25 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be James Gomez, Raul Torrez, Jr., Ernest Torrez, Christopher Alonzo, Joseph Abascal and Epimenio Torrez Jr., Special thanks to all our family and friends who were with us in our time of need. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2016 with Recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, 11:00 a.m. Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1206 E. 9th St. Burial will follow at Santa Maria Cemetery, Pflugerville, Texas.
