Lorraine M. Garza Soto, 47, resident of Austin, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Visitation service begin Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Mission Funeral Home Serenity Chapel, 6204 South First Street (SOUTH). Recitation of Holy Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church, 2435 Oak Crest Ave, with Rev. Fr. Alberto Borruel officiating. Burial will follow to Assumption Cemetery, Austin,TX Lorraine Marie Garza Soto, 47, resident of Austin, passed away September 30, with her family at her side. Lorraine was born March 21, 1968 to Gilbert C. Garza and Stella R. Garza. Lorraine met and married the love of her life, Robert H. Soto, together they had 5 children. Lorraine loved her children, loved her husband, and was devoted to her home and family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, for everyone. No one who visited their home was a stranger, and never left hungry. Her children describe her as the "cool mom", she had always, youth at her home, where she was a mom to all friends of her children. She enjoyed her tejano and country music, and especially artists like Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan. She was the best babysitter her children describe, she babysat most of her family members children, and also the surrounding neighbors children. Lorraine was a humble and genuine person, always putting the need of others before her own. Holidays were special to her, and being surrounded by family, and making them more special by having the home cooked meals for the holidays, and having family and friends over. Lorraine was an unconditional person, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Lorraine is preceded in death by her mother; Stella R. Garza(2014), one sister; Carmen, one brother; Manuel. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years; Robert H. Soto, her father; Gilbert C. Garza, 5 children; Tiffany Salazar and spouse Danny, Zack Garza, Aaron Soto, Sarah Soto, Mark Soto all of Austin, 4 grandchildren, 5 siblings; Patsy, Carol, Salvador, Gilbert, Kristina as well as many numerous close nieces, nephews and cousins. A void is left in our hearts, but will be filled and healed with the love she leaves behind.
