Lyon H. Strong II, 69 of Buda, TX, passed away at his residence with his wife at his side. He was born on November 11, 1945, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, to Lyon Henry Strong I and Dorothy Trenk Strong. While working at an American Airlines call center, he met the love of his life, Katherine Forsyth Kuykendall. He enjoyed hiking, and hiked Mt. Whitney in 1991. He loved his family and his three dogs; Angel, Hopper, Sweety, and Shadow. Lyon was a truck driver for Georgetown Trucking, in Georgetown, TX. He served in the United States Navy, and in 1991, Lyon also did some trade work in the funeral business for some years as a transport person in the Taylor, TX area, and the surrounding central Texas area. Lyon is preceded in death by his parents; Lyon Henry and Dorothy Strong, and younger brother; Robert Strong. He is survived by his loving wife; Katherine Forsyth Kuykendall Strong. Son; Christopher Todd Strong and wife Claudia, of Kansas City, Missouri, and sister; Susan Strong-Dowd and brother-in law John Dowd of Chicago, Illinois. Lyon will be dearly missed by many, including numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, and uncles. His biggest dream was to own a sail boat and sail the world.
